How many times a day should I brush my teeth?
At least twice a day. A great habit to ensure dental health is flossing once a day and brushing after every meal.
When should a child have his/her first dental appointment?
You should schedule your child’s first dental appointment when their first tooth comes or no later than three years of age.
What are the signs of gum disease?
Some of the noticeable symptoms of gum disease are:
- Red, bleeding, and/or swollen gums
- Bad breath
- Mobility of the teeth
- Tooth sensitivity caused by receding gums
- Abscessed teeth
- Tooth loss
What can I do to prevent gum disease?
Proper brushing and flossing is a definite way to reduce and prevent gum disease. Regular cleanings with your dental hygienist or dentist are necessary to treat advanced gum disease.
